oh woah!
This is a sorry for a real break in posts. I went back to uni this week and things have been crazy but really sooo good to be back! I feel alive and creative again!
Last week was Audi fashion week in Joburg and i got a cool opportunity to work with the very pregnant (hee
) designers of Wild Fig (they stock clothes at The Space..) just helping out a bit backstage and got to see a few shows afterwards.. I must admit its a lot more fun watching than being backstage with all the stressful dressers and models. flip.
These are some pics from the Abigail Keats show. I loved their hats, lacy gloves, red lipstick and pearls… wow!

Perfect for today

such a sweet little mixed-media-painting by Marie Larkin.(featured in Frankie)
Its been raining almost everyday this week in Joburg. Its quite nice but i want some hot summer still please.
(Listening to: Department of Eagles – reminds me of arcade fire a bit, give them a listen, lemme know what you think)
- ‘In spite of the weather
- we can have a good time.
- We can go out for dinner.
- you can make up your mind’
500 Pencils..
UM.could-this-be-any-cooler?
25 pencils delivered to you every month for 20 months = 500 brilliantly coloured pencils with cute imaginative names like ‘hint of sun’, ‘upsy daisy’ ‘pale pumpkin’ ‘tea with milk’ ‘tippy toe’ ‘picnic’ ‘drizzly afternoon’ ‘handsome harry’ ‘grandma’s ring’ ‘clown cheeks’ ‘pretty polly’.. to name a few favorites.. hehe. they all seem to have a story behind them and the ‘folk behind the idea reckon a new box of inspiration every 30 days or so is good for the creative soul within’
very cool indeed.

they’re a tad bit pricy for pencils. but i like the concept a lot
one for you and one for me
Dylan just ordered a nice white Lavazza coffee machine so when i found these pretty blue polka dot teacups/espresso cups at Succulent Cafe i couldn’t resist getting them. yip. they’re ours! x

xxx
ps. the birdies above were part of a photo corner me and dylan did for a wedding we went to on the weekend. but the weather did not permit.. I made a lot of cute cut outs.. these were the 2 i salvaged.
where there is tea. there is hope.

me and nicole from ‘a photo a day’ had a tea party on a friday at the loverly Succulent!
and she took some pretty photos. here’s a little taste but go have a look at her blog for the rest! She has such a good eye for beautiful photos! wow.

i like people who smile when its raining
