UP
This, my friends is real.

This man crossed the English Channel sitting in an arm chair attatched to enormous helium balloons! how awesome? Its like a real life UP! FLIP guys, I want to be him!

Apparently getting down was quite tricky and he actually had to pop balloons to descend lower and lower and you can’t plan where exactly you’ll land but i think its quite sweet that he landed in a French Cabbage patch! heehee.
You can read more about this amazing guy here!

hello London hello John
I literally just got my British Visa from the FedEx man so I can finally officially say I am leaving for the UK in 23 days!
I’m going for a whole 6 weeks.. with hopefully a week in France or Spain (it has not been decided yet and I haven’t got my Schengen Visa yet – eek!). This is my first trip to London and I am so excited I could skip rope for an hour.

I am so looking forward to all the fashion, and the museums, and the art galleries.. eek. So prepare for my blog to turn into a travel journal
For anyone who’s been there or lived there or lives there what are your must-see places.. secret places, commercial places, touristy places?? I need all the advice I can get!
x
ps. you may be wondering about the hello John part of my title.. heeeee. the truth is I have a ticket to see John Mayer Live in Manchester the day I arrive in the UK! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Jane Austen and the zombies :)
I bought such a funny book yesterday. Its called Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters. I first saw a book of its kind in LoveBooks called ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’ so when i saw the first one on sale I had to get it. The authors take Austens classics and make them a little more interesting to read
by introducing zombies and sea monsters.
“It quickly became obvious that Jane (Austen) had laid down the blueprint for a zombie novel,” author Seth Grahame-Smith told Australia’s Herald Sun. ”Why else in the original should a regiment arrive on Lizzie Bennet’s doorstep when they should have been off fighting Napoleon? It was to protect the family from an invasion of brain-eaters, obviously.” heeee.
This may sound like sacrilege but I think its going to make for pretty interesting read!
