Amy of EatDrinkChic, which i’ve been finding entirely inspiring was part of a very awesome project where she was ‘approached by the cool hunter to style some photos for a pitch to McDonalds for an upmarket pop-up restaurant for fashion week. The concept was to give McDonalds food a complete makeover and re-brand the fast food giant with an aesthetic suitable for a 5 star restaurant.’ Such an amazingly cool concept:

just shows that packaging & branding is everything. Greasy McDonalds now becomes “designer food”

Ever since I saw Princess Diana’s engagement ring as a little girl I fell in love with it, the style, the colour, the diamonds. My grandmother (affectionately known as two-mums) had a very very similiar ring for her 50th wedding anniversary and so when it came to choosing an engagement ring there was no doubt in my mind about what I wanted. Waaay before I met dylan I spotted my ring in a shop window, and every now and then if I passed the shop I would stare into the window and imagine how it would look on my finger. *dreamy

I have a guy who makes my dreams come true and he got me my dream ring. Kate Middleton, new fiance of Prince William just received the original diana ring. we’re both pretty lucky I think.

Her blog is like one incredible cook book that would normally cost about R700 at Exclusive Books but its free and its amazing! The photography is delicious and the food speaks for itself. yum. yum. yum. move over Jamie Oliver.

I picked out a recipe for you for today, as the weather is terribly depressing in Joburg, especially for summer! C’mon! : ( cold and rainy? so here’s something to make. Then boil the kettle, grab a book and blanket and enjoy! mmmm.

I’ve seen a lot of these fashion combo posts around lately, on the mr P blog (with band posters), missmoss & wolfeyebrows (with old paintings). I thought i’d do my own version with FOOD.

These posters at hyde park have been making me excited for too long now. These are all my favorite things, ok wine is not really high up on the list ; ) but dylan and I are trying to appreciate a good wine from a bad one ; )

On friday a couple of us bloggers were invited to a lil sneak peak of the new and exciting plans for ‘stuff thats nice’. you might’ve seen my post I did of the pop up sale before. Anyway. The ‘nice’ gatherings are going to start happening more often, every Friday & Saturday from November til 18th December and not only will you be able to peruse through some very NICE things, you will also be able to relax and enjoy a cup of tea, a glass of champagne and cupcakes on the house.

There’s new stock all the time so you may pick up, say, a vintage Chanel blazer? hmmm : )
