I can’t believe its 3 days til christmas. We put up our tree last week but other than been pretty wedding pre-occupied. Last night however I finally made these ‘Strawberry Santas’. They were all eaten before I had the chance to take photos but i’m planning on making them on christmas eve & christmas day and promise to remember to take pics then!

sunnies on a rainy day

It has been rainy and chilly in Joburg for a couple of days. Not very summery. Not very cool. But who cares you can still wear sunglasses when its raining or while in doors right? I’m gonna.

The first pair were my grandmothers. and the last 4 are from China Mall. 2 x animal print, 1 x Gaga and 1 x AWESOME – you can be cool or nerdy whenever you want. See them modelled here. : )

These are probably my favorite ones though. I got them about 2 weeks ago at about R25 each. So i’m sure you can still get your paws on some! Have a lovely day despite the weather! x x bye

pre-loved lovely

what a delicious natural browny colour. mmm I love real leather. I want to lick up its richness. lovely Dylan found it for me at an auction in Norwood for about R20! He picked up some other really nice things like A framed illustration of Paris, a collectible camera, lamps and a few other interesting things (which I promise to show you sometime) but for now i’ll just show you my bag.

bunting

this is one thing i’ve been up to. Cutting out more than a thousand triangles for bunting. We’ve made about 250 metres of bunting. These are some half triangle scraps. Forgot to take photos while we were doing it! shu – weee. what a job!

but I think its gonna look awesome like triangles. x

one month

I can hardly believe it’ll be my wedding day in a month. I’m so excited!

I love this natural look for brides. I want to feel like myself on my wedding day and be able to move around. I tried on a meringue dress and I could hardly walk around in it. I think its important to be comfortable and still be recognizable as you. Some grooms admit that they don’t even recognize the girl coming down the aisle. hee. funny.

and I said what about Breakfast at Tiffanys?

Sorry I’ve been so absent lately, i’ve been doing a lot to prepare for my wedding, with about a month to go! eek! Anyway on saturday was my surprise kitchen tea/lingerie party/hen party. and the theme of the morning was Breakfast at Tiffanys which I had recently bought, watched for the first time and LOVED! Audrey Hepburn is SO beautiful and charming, I love that old new york glamour! Watch it! I know you’ll love it! : )

breakfasttiffanys

My friends and bridesmaids did such a stunning job, they dressed me up just like Audrey Hepburn and the decor, the food and all the little details were just too darling for words. They even made a photo booth of a big yellow taxi and the new york skyline! what little specialpants you guys are.

I got this very special gift from my mom, (as you can see i’m a bit teary) it was my grandmothers apron, and its so pretty and really for real vintage, I also got a cookbook of some her famous recipes. She passed away two weeks ago at the ripe age of 89. I miss her so much and feel honored to have some of these special things passed down to me.
