I'm quite a big fan of sunglasses. I have so many pairs I really have no idea what to do with all of them and had to clean out quite a few when moving to my new home : ( . Most of them are of the R50/R20 variety : ) I think the most i've paid for a pair of sunglasses was R250. I don't think I could live with myself if I bought a R2000 pair of sunnies and then I (or someone else) sat on them : (. .... but if they cost R50 : ) I won't be as sad.

Anyway. thats me. what do you guys do/buy? Do buy your sunglasses online? maybe from overseas, side of the road? vintage shops? Spitfire? (really wish we had one of these in JHB) : )

I've been looking at a lot of eyewear lately for 2011 and these are some of my favorites (they're all quite outré! but I like them)

I still love those Tom Ford Cat eye sunglasses. but I'll stick to my china mall awesomes for now until I can justify more than R250 on sunglasses : ) xx

Oh Gosh I love my sunnies too! I have spent quite a bit on sunnies but the best is to purchase when you travel, they are about half the price most times. I also still buy from Spitfire (arent there any in joburg?) when I find a nice style that I cant get anywhere else. Other local stores: Sunglass hut, if you find one in a Edgars store you can put them on account; and Matrix sell lovely designer sunnies at prices cheaper than Sunglass hut. You have chosen great designers...other gooduns are Rayban, D&G, Persol et,.

Nice selection there! I know, I also couldn't justify a zillion rand on sunnies. Dying to go to China Mall one of these days x
