keen to swap some of your stuff for someone else’s stuff?

The swapping mall, presented by Capitec Bank. No monies involved. Just you swapping stuff you don’t need for some other people’s nice stuff that you might want? : ) super easy right? I’ve even been part of a little pre-mall swap with some people. I swapped a Zara tshirt & beret that I don’t wear anymore for a very pretty vintage bag.

So Capitec is opening a Swapping Mall for two days only – 30 – 31st July 2011 at Atlas Studios in Braamfontein (right by 44 Stanley).

Go join their facebook page here to get more info, they have a lot of cool videos explaining how everything works, but basically you bring your stuff (that’s still nice but you don’t use anymore), I think it’s 5 items or less, they value it and give you some kind of currency to spend on other people’s things and so you get rid of things you don’t need anymore and get some new things for free. and it’s not just clothes it’s art, books, homeware .. you name it.

emmajanenation in the press!

I know it’s a bit belated but i’m still really excited to share with you guys my first piece of real press for emmajanenation. Fairlady did a little interview with me about what my favourite things are at the moment and it’s on page 218 of the current July issue! It came out while I was overseas and I was busy skyping Dylan when I found out! heehee. He rushed over to CNA and bought a bunch of copies and then tried to show me through a bad skype connection ; ) ah. so sweet. anyway here it is.

It’s even up on our fridge! Thank to everyone who went out and bought a copy! : ) I’m still stoked and appreciate every comment, tweet, email about it. I’m rocking the brunette in this photo but after today i’m pretty much back to my blonde self. I missed it a bit too much.

really liking the branding for Jones Soda Co. Combine awesomely coloured soda with a beautiful black and white picture on the front plus nice type = a pretty lovely product to look at. I’d love one of each to put on my shelf and to never drink ever
