Eating our way through Cape Town / part one

We arrived in Cape Town at about 8:30 on thursday night, checked in to our hotel.. and our stomachs started rumbling, so I turned to twitter to all your lovely recommendations, one being Bombay Bicycle Club which comes HIGHLY recommended by anyone's whose been there or anyone whose been to Madame Zingara (It's created by the same bizarre and awesome people).

So we decided to check it out.. and I loved every minute in the place! Outside the restaurant is covered in hanging bicycles and the inside is like stepping into another world. Everything is cluttered. The walls and ceilings are just covered with frames, and tennis racquets, rugs and plants. There are tables everywhere with flickering candles and the most awesome doo-wop music ever!

We had some fruity cocktails and pretty much the MOST delicious food i've ever tasted. *sorry the pics are bit dark and moody. the Olympus struggles without a flash.

We ate the drunken camembert, the prawns wrapped in phyllo pastry, the seafood pasta and the chocolate chilli steak! My mouth is watering as I type just THINKING about that chocolate chilli steak.
