bat for lashes

While in London this year I bought this Rimmel day to night Mascara, and loved it! Mascaras are always tricky but when you find a goodie you stick with it! I was so bummed that I didn’t stock up on more while I was there, but two nights ago I saw an ad for it on tv. it’s here! YAY!

I mostly just use the day brush.. it is so smooth, and separates your lashes with no clumps at all. and it gives you crazy length! Later on if you’re going out at night, you can lightly* touch up with the night brush – it’s a lot thicker, and can give you spider lashes if dollop it on.  Other than that – amazing product! I can’t wait to go find it in the shops!

Try it and let me know what you think : )

I love Oh Land, and have always liked this song. Have you seen the music video? It’s bizarre and lovely!  I want her beautiful braided hair and her bedroom in the beginning. Thank you Caitlin for the share : ) I know you’ll all love it!

Prom night

After the awards Die Heuwels Fantasties did a little set and I caught these two gorgeous love birds amongst the crowd and asked if i could take their picture. They look they’re going to Prom in 1969 or something.

This last one is my fav! The light was weird but it came out really awesome!

shopping online

Hello friends. How many of you shop for clothes online? I know there are tons of lovely websites where you can shop all kinds of brands online but I’m the kind of person who likes to go exploring until something catches my eye and I have to try it on, look at it from every angle until I decide to buy it! But i’ve been a bit sad about the lack of a nice summer shoes in shops lately. I don’t like wearing pumps too much in summer, cause they don’t breathe so well.. and flip flop sandles can be uncomfortable and your toe nails ALWAYS need to be in good shape.

I got these shoes last year at Billabong and I LOVE the woven look. They’re so comfortable, they breath and are easy to slip on and off (I bought two identical pairs). But they’re looking quite scruffy now that i’ve worn both pairs to death.

Soo i’ve been on the look out for something similar without much luck.. until I looked at the ASOS website. [sidebar: I could spend hours on that site, creating dream shopping baskets ; )] and a few weeks ago I decided to take the risk order some shoes, THESE ONES below.. what do you think?

I really hope they fit! and they come out as nicely as they look in the pictures! I’m watching that post box closely!

For other sites, try fashion by Steffen Schraut, Style Bop and Urban Outfitters for some other lovely fashion

This is as close as some of us will get to buying the all the overseas brands that we know and love, without having to buy a plane ticket. Thankfully in about a months time we’ll be able to get our ZARA fix! eek!

ps. ASOS is having a huge online sale at the moment. go check it out.

magnificent miss moss

If you don’t follow Miss Moss religiously yet, you should. She has been creating the most magnificent art & fashion combinations. I can imagine these being in a campaign or a look book for an international designer.

This is her latest set of combinations called Re-imagining Kenzo and short description on her reasoning behind it.

”One of my favourite shows from the recent Spring 2012 collections was the “new” Kenzo - which was recently taken over by creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, the geniuses behind Opening Ceremony. Which, of course, explains why there’s a certain wacky&fun edge to the all the pieces. I couldn’t help but feel that the setting for these knock-out outfits was slightly bland, so I decided to re-imagine some of my favourite looks in decidedly different scenery…”
