Food Joburg

Last night Dylan and I went to try out Foundry, the newest addition to the Parktown North neighborhood restaurants. The cafe has a very nice feel, very open and light with the most beautiful wooden ceilings. It seems like their main thing is roasts, craft beer and good wine.

We sat outside and snacked on charcuterie, cheese and wine, and Dylan ordered the trio of sausages with homemade gnocchi which was really delicious.

We had the rose water sorbet for dessert. Quite icy for sorbet but quite a nice flavour.

Give it a try and let me know what you think : )

If you’re going for dinner it’s probably best to book.

i’ve been debating that they have a different menu everyday… since they didn’t have rose water sorbet on their dessert menu when I was there on tues 🙁 But still good place to eat!

That’s so interesting – so they’re really trying to get people to come back soon and often!

went there on friday night after going to see searching for sugarman – what an amazing movie by the way. Great vibe and tasty food. we had Mussels in beer sauce, parma ham pizza, sushimi salad and bruschetta. Very busy! The bar is a great addition to joburg and i can see it becoming a hot new place to meet up with friends…

      Ahh i’ve heard it’s a great movie!

Foundry really does have a nice vibe, we went there again for lunch the other day and they change up their menu quite often.

Glad you liked it, your choice sounds delicious!
