Cup & Cake Barcelona

Cup-Cake-Barcelona-8

We’re going to Barcelona for a whole week in July so i’m slowly putting together a list of places I want to go to. I Spotted this cute cake shop on Jelanie yesterday that is definitely on the list! How sweet is the branding and interiors? Looks like a nice place to have tea and rest your legs.

If you have any other awesome recommendations for Barcelona let me know : ) My friend Casey has already referred me to an amazing alternative guide to Barcelona called Le Cool which i’ve already download. It has a lot of very cool spots and things to do where you can avoid the tourists. I also saw that Bri from Design Love Fest has also just posted her own city guide to Barcelona. So many places to fit into one week!

Barcelona! What fun! We spent three days there last July and here are some of the things we did: http://lovemadevisible.co.za/2012/07/barcelona-spain/
We also did a cooking course where we made our own Paella and Sangria (the course involved a trip to the huge indoor food market to buy all the food). Loved it! They also do bike tours which are fun.

Hey Em, I went to Barcelona a few weeks ago with my sister and mom. My mom totally loved Cup and Cake! It’s so quaint! A few touristy musts – Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell (apparently there is an escalator to the top, but for most people, including me it was a very steep walk uphill in the sun! So pack some water) and Las Ramblas. Barcelona has to be my most favorite city in Spain. It is also a bit weird because they speak Catalan and not Spanish and seem to think they are not part of Spain. The part where I stayed is called Raval, its off Las Ramblas. It has the BEST street art, have your camera at the ready!

Such an interesting city. It’s so artistic. Even the street benches are so creative. I loved Las Ramblas food market and Sagrada Familia. We also went to the Olympics facilities. The shopping is amazing too!!!

You have to visit the neighbourhood called El Borne, very cool and near the sea, and Gracia, another neighbourhood full with tiny bars, cute shops and lots of people in the street
    Have fun!
