Crazy horse is a newish place in Parktown north that we’ve been driving past for weeks now threatening to give it a try and finally on friday we gave in and dropped in for lunch. As a designer I’m not mad about their branding and font choice, but I guess it is pretty “crazy” and they wanted to bring that across.
Once you get inside it’s pretty sweet though. The whole interior is MINT! Which is right up my alley (If you’ve seen my kitchen you’ll know how much I love the stuff). They then have a huge black and white photograph of three awesome cowboys on the whole right wall of the restaurant which totally makes the space.
Food wise they serve a lot of different Spanish Tapas, pasta’s and pizza’s. We tried the deep fried sardines with lemon (well dylan did) and the seafood fritters. We then shared a fennel and sausage pizza which was really nice and REALLY cheesey (if you like really cheesey pizzas).
The whole place felt really authentic, especially the little tasty pastries you get with your bill. I don’t remember what they called these but they were delicious and such a perfect end to the meal.
Find them on 4th Avenue, Parktown North, Johannesburg.
