Flower crowns

So over the weekend I made a few of these festival style flower crowns. I’ve been wanting to make some for ages but it’s been one of those side things that’s on the list to do but has gotten pushed further and further to the side.

We’ve booked to go to a festival called Latitude in London in July and this finally motivated me to make one or two to take with because the festival we’re going to is particularly hippie-ish – it’s in the countryside and they dye their sheep pink, it’s brilliant.

So i’ve made a few prototypes that I thought i’d share with you, because when i’m back i’m going to make a few for festival season (Oppikoppi, Rocking the daisies etc) once i’ve tested them out in London of course. I’ve made three kinds to begin with: The Petite, The Fleurettes and The Frida.

This one has been dubbed “The Frida”, inspired by the lovely Frida Kahlo. It’s a little more bold and extreme than others but I like it and would get married in it if I ever did my wedding over. The next three are The Fleurettes, all with 5 oversized roses in a few different colour combinations and last but not least The Petite at the bottom, for everyday wear (I wore it out to the shops on Sunday and couldn’t stop smiling).

What do you think?

Do you like them? Would you ever wear a flower crown?

I would totally wear a flower crown! Makes me think of that Lumineers song “flowers in her hair” which i just love!… They are so beautiful and remind me of spring time… Well done Emma, what fun it must have been 🙂

I absolutely ADORE the last one at the bottom! Would be perfect for Daisies this year! Are they still available and what would the damage be? 🙂
