This past weekend we went on an instawalk through parts FranscHHoek.
It started with a pairing at Grand Provence which is one of the beautiful wine farms i’ve ever seen. Not only is their wine delicious but the setting and the people are lovely. They also have an incredible gallery which is considered to be one of the most highly regarded galleries in the Cape, with a reputation for showcasing some of South Africa’s finest established and emerging artists. We had such a lovely time there and it’s definitely on my list to go back and spend a bit more time there.
We then went into the town, had a tour and taste of Reubens, Huguenot Fine Chocolates and saw David Walters at work in his ceramic factory (one day I will get a full set of personalised dinner ware made by him!).
We ended the day with a sunset Méthode Cap Classique tasting at Haute Cabrière which has the best view of the whole of FranscHHoek. It was my first time there but I realised they make all of my favourites including Pierre Jourdan MCC and the Haute Cabriere Chardonnay Pinot Noir.
At the end of the day we all made a 15 second instagram video as a highlights reel of the day. Check mine out at the bottom! (All filmed and edited on my iphone with the imovie app)
FranscHHoek Tourism have an awesome competition running at the moment where you can win a luxurious weekend away, and all you have to do is create a little instagram video and tag #FranscHHoekMoments (Double H!).
It can be from a day trip you took out there or even just popping your favourite bottle of wine/MCC at home. It all counts. Good luck!
It was such a lovely warm day I was so happy to get my legs out.
Dress: Borrowed from a friend | Boots: Woolworths | Bag: Amble & Thorn
I’ve had this Amble & Thorn bag glued to arm since I got it! A&T is a local brand/online store that is full of beautiful things including lovely winter hats, bags and simple cotton scarves and shirts. I really love their style and I think you might too if you’re looking for something a bit different.
Instagrammers risking their phones to get the money shot.
