One week ago I turned 27!

To celebrate, Dylan and I went for lunch at The Butcher Shop & Grill in Mouille Point for a good steak!

I loved the New York style interiors of this place, their attention to detail, great service and obviously their delicious steaks.

Here’s a tiny peek into their wine cellar.

They have quite an extensive list of the fanciest wines around but we opted for G&T’s with a new gin (below) that i’ve been hearing a lot of good things about!

Now for the steak.

We ordered the famous Wagyu fillet (these cattle are rumoured to be massaged and given a beer every now and then to relax them, that’s what makes the fillet so tender!)… and it really, truly was a piece of heaven in my mouth.

We also had the Argentinian Rib Eye, which they import. Get the chefs recommendation. It was perfect!

Tip: If you don’t have an occasion to celebrate but still want to eat a good steak you can always buy meat (among wine and other things) in their deli and butcher shop.

Is your mouth watering yet?

Lastly… dessert.

We had my favourite… lemon meringue pie, and Dylan’s favourite Malva pudding.

I highly recommend this place for a fancy night out, or if you’re just craving a really good steak!

Thank you to The Butcher Shop for hosting us for the meal! All delectable thoughts and opinions are my own.
