Bubbledogs was the coolest little discovery on our London trip (Thanks to my London friend Nats!). As you might have guessed it combines the fanciness of champagne with tuck shop food ;) hot dogs.
Bubbledogs is in a bit of a back road off Goodge street, and you'll know you've found it when you see a long line of people waiting to get in. It's a super tiny space so they can only take in a certain number of people at a time. Our wait time was an hour and a half, but it actually took a lot quicker to get in and they squeezed us in at the bar. We were basically back to back with table behind us but it was cozy and added to the vibe!
We were pleasantly surprised to find that they serve REAL champagne from France served by a genuine little French lady. I really loved it and Dylan and I have been drinking a lot more bubbly with normal meals since then.
Food-wise they have 13 different types of "gourmet" hot dogs complemented by sweet potato chips or tots. I had a José hot dog (with salsa, avocado, sour cream and pickled jalapenos) and Dylan had a BLT which were both really tasty but I wouldn't really call them gourmet hot dogs. The rolls and the sausages were quite normal and small (nothing like the Great Dane) and we were still hungry on the way home!
So the concept is a real winner but I think they really gotta up their game with their hot dogs!
Earlier that day we also had a drink at Leon after visiting the Tate Moden, which is another one of my London favs. When i'm there I just want to take pictures of everything plus they play the best tunes!
My favourite place to have a cappuccino in London.

I celebrated my 25th birthday while in London. It was the day after the royal baby was born and it was a day i'll never forget. I got to hang out with Dylan, my sister and my sweet niece and nephew all morning. We went to Hyde park, got soaked in a freak rain storm and ended up at Laduree in Harrods. We sipped on tea and picked out a plate of multi-coloured macaroons, and got surprised with a birthday cake and a song from the lovely french staff.
Dylan and I spent the rest of the afternoon shopping on Oxford street and ended the day at Byron with my sister and brother in law. You may remember Byron from this post I did about 2 years ago! Their focus is burgers and beers and they get it so so right. I'm also obsessed with the little design details on everything.
Post-getting-caught-in-the-rain-curls! How cute is my niece?
Last picture is from Byron (see the full post on this place here).

when I was in London I went to this AMAZING juice bar called Joe & the Juice (it's on Regent street, just off Oxford) and they serve nice sandwiches and freshly squeezed/pressed juices, some with strange things in them like spinach (which I tried and it was amazing).
So when I got home I convinced Dylan to buy us a juice extractor and we LOVE IT! We have a different juice every morning, pretty much with whatever fruit we have in the house. This is what I had this morning.
I've experimented a bit with ginger/spinach. you guys got any other interesting ingredients for me to try? Will try to do more juice posts.. I always remember after I've drunken half the thing though! hehe.

On my last day in London I went with a friend to a concert in Hyde Park - The Vaccines, Beirut (who are both awesome bands by the way), Mumford & Sons and Arcade Fire. I felt so spoilt to see more than one good band in one day.. imagine what Glastonbury must be like? These are a few pictures from the day. [They had an 'arcade' set up with all sorts of games like pac man and a free photo booth - awesome right?]

Since I arrived in London i've been spying out this awesome place, almost everyday on the bus. and finally went there today with my sis. It's called Byron and their slogan is 'proper hamburgers'. and it is just the most gorgeous place I think i've ever eaten in. I felt like I was in mad men and pretty much snapped away the entire time I was there, so this is a very narrowed down selection of pics (and it's still photo heavy - sorry). : )

Shoreditch is the new cool place to hang in London. There are so many awesome places littering the streets, with people literally spilling out the doors.
Pizza East was no different. The industrial space was packed with beautiful people and pumping music. We hadn't reserved a table so were lucky enough to get a seat at their pizza bar.
We drank wine out of tumblers, and sample a few of their eats on offer. We had the lamb meatballs for starters which were incredible, followed by a simple basil margherita pizza. Their pizzas definitely lived up to hype! The base was thin, but puffed up around the edges from the heat of the gas-fired ovens.
For dessert we tried their doughnut bites, with some kind of chocolate liqueur sauce. They were hot and delicious and went way too quickly.
Tips: Be sure to go visit their WC to find the photo booth downstairs, and plan your visit from thurs - sun as they have dj's there in the evenings.
They have a real life old school photo booth downstairs. That first photo we were caught off guard, but the rest we did okay.

I remember discovering Dri Dri in Notting hill last year, it was a bit of a chilly day so I went in to look but didn't eat any of the colourful gelato, I just admired the prettiness of the branding. Next time i'm in London I'm going to make sure I try some.
How pretty is it?

This trip I have to say I got the 'weary traveller's legs' way too often.. too much time on your feet and no desire to walk further, no matter how close something is, which is a bit of a pity as the museums and art galleries are one of my favourite things about London. I did manage to do two favourites from last time though - The V&A museum and the Tate Modern, and one new one - the Museum of Brands, packaging and advertising.

We went to Brighton on Sunday and it was mother-flipping hot day so the whole of London decided to go too. It was super busy but a lovely little beach town. awesome victorian pier & fun fair. pebbly beach. fish and chips. seagulls. beach chairs. ice-cream. blue skies. blue sea. nice shops in "The Lanes".
This is a little series of pictures I did of my little niece while we were on Brighton beach.
