Nelson Mandela Square (Sandton) is busy revamping the upper level of their shopping mall. It's very quiet for now but I have a feeling a lot of good changes are coming.
Blogger Jerri and I were both asked to style a window using items from the NMS stores and this is my window inspired iconic fashion ie. Chanel!
The dress and jacket are both from Robot.
Chanel dress: R1790 / Pearl blazer: R3600 / Chanel Tote: R530
The incredible, luxurious luggage is Bric's from Wolmans and range between R7199 - R8299.
They have an awesome competition running at the moment where you can win R1500 in vouchers from Nelson Mandela Square. All you need to do is take a selfie in front of my window with the hashtag #changeisgood. If you're posting to instagram or twitter tag me @emmajanenation and @nelsonmandelasquare too so I can see your post!
You'll find the windows at the top of the escalator next to Baglios.
To make sure you have an entry into the competition please also make sure you also like the Nelson Mandela Square page and follow them on twitter/instagram - @Nelsonmandelasqaure

I don't know if I can accurately describe this day in words but i'm going to try my best. Bruce and Lexi are two very inspiring people with hearts of Gold. I (Emma) started the day early with Lexi with a big house full of women, running up and down the stairs, getting their makeup done and lounging around in their beautiful dresses. No one was stressed about the raindrops or gloomy weather. Everyone was just happy and content. Lexi was styled to perfection. From her red lip and golden wreath to the dress that literally grew on her. So beautiful! I had a hard time cutting down the many beautiful pictures of every angle. After getting dressed a big (quite British) taxi pulled up and took us into Joburg city to Turbine Hall. We've shot at Turbine Hall a few times, and each time it's been completely different and wonderful. It was a basically forest wedding meeting an industrial space. Lexi walked down the aisle to this song, while Bruce (and everyone else in the room) fought back the tears. It was the most beautiful thing i've seen since the royal wedding. After the ceremony we were lucky with beautiful light, happy hearts and the background music of a huge party going down in Newtown. Thank you Bruce and Lexi again for inviting us to be a part of your celebration!

I found this awesome old "swing dancing" instructional video on youtube this week. Why don't people dance like this anymore? I want to open a club where it's all about swing dancing... now I just need to learn how.
Anyone know any cool instructors in Joburg?

I'm sitting with Dylan in a coffee shop drinking R10 cappuccinos after a crazy weekend of shooting. My head and my body feel tired, and verging on flu like symptoms so i'm taking today off and i'm not going to feel guilty about it.
I quickly ran out of the puny 20 mb of free internet from the coffee shop, so I started looking through a couple of our travel albums on my desktop when I came across this awesome picture of when Dylan and I stopped to drink coffee in Lake Como.
We stopped at a tiny town, had the cheapest cappuccino in all of Italy (90 cents) and took in the incredible view. It was only a few months ago but it already feels like a faded memory, which made me sad, so I stared into the photograph for longer and tried to remember exactly how I felt when I took it.. how awestruck I was by the colour of the lake and the dramatic mountains behind it. The cute Italians going about their weekend and tanning on the bank. Our delicious cappuccinos and the adventure ahead.
I loved that brief moment, and remembering it made me incredibly grateful. Grateful for the 'faded memory' of an awesome adventure, but also realizing i'm on another great adventure right now.
