Gangster Squad

You can't go wrong with Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone set in LA in the 1940's.

Dylan and I snuck off to the movies on Sunday eve and didn't know much about the movie but we weren't disappointed at all. The film is all about a gang of under cover police who take down Micky Cohen (Penn), the baddest mobster in LA and how they do it. Expect a lot of old school machine gun shoot out scenes and beautifully styled sets/costumes.

For me Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling stole the show in all their 40's glory. With Ryan Gosling back in 40's attire this could be the notebook, if Noah had rather joined the LAPD and not joined the army or become a carpenter. MUCH more exciting I think.
