The long awaited home tour post is finally here. First up:
The Kitchen Make-over.
We hadn’t planned to do any major kitchen renovations for a while, but with a bit of paint and a few little changes we managed to pull something off fairly inexpensively. I think it turned out pretty great.
We replaced the counter tops and got these wooden kitchen islands (or rather work benches) from builders warehouse which made a huge difference in terms of counter space and storage. We repainted pretty much every surface in the kitchen and if you love the colour as much as I do you can get it all from Plascon. Here is all the info you need to get the same look.
The Minty-Green on the kitchen cupboards: “Cactus Pete” G2-B2-2
The fresh grey walls: “Plaster” E16–2 (They were tiled so we used Plascon tile primer prior to painting)
The dark grey tiled area by the stove: “Bauhaus” Y2-E2-1
Sources of the other kitchen items:
Vintage Pink Kitchen Scale: In Good Company
Pink ceramic bowl & yellow ceramic egg box: Poetry
Breville Coffee Machine: @home
Blue toaster & Kettle: Delonghi (Stax, I think)
Sky Planter (hanging plant): L’Emile et son
Kitchen island/Work bench: Builders Warehouse
(I’ll be posting about our living/dining room area later this week)
Ps. Thanks to everyone who helped me choose the colour, your input was much appreciated!
